A defence minister has confirmed that the Ministry of Defence is currently investigating the possible threats associated with Chinese cars, while personnel have been told to avoid talking about classified information in any cars.
Security Advice for MoD Staff
During a recent appearance on LBC, Luke Pollard addressed reports that Ministry of Defence staff have been instructed not to discuss secret information while travelling in Chinese vehicles.
The minister stated that the MoD is “looking into” cars from China within its fleets, however emphasised that safety is a concern in every modern vehicles.
