Russian forces has increased attacks on electrical systems over the past few days, while officials has called for "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the United States, Europe and the Group of Seven - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.

Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen projectiles attacked the country's power systems, labeling such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to repair systems.
